The register dashboard

The register dashboard is the main screen for registers. It shows your running registers grouped into two sections, plus a section for archived registers.

  • Active: the registers you have pinned to the dashboard. Each one shows its details and charts. You can keep up to five registers here.
  • Collapsed: your other running registers. They are not pinned, so they appear in a shorter list without the full details.
  • Archived: registers that have ended or that you archived by hand. The dashboard shows the most recent ones. Select View all to see the full list.

Both Active and Collapsed registers are running and fully usable. The only difference is where they sit on the dashboard.

Each register card shows small badges that let you read the register’s type and state without opening it:

  • Type badge: shows the register type, Perpetual, Term, or Crash Course. Each type has its own colour.
  • Status badge: shows the register’s current state. It is highlighted when the register is in maintenance mode.
  • Archiving on [date]: a red badge with a clock, shown only when the register has a scheduled archive waiting. Select it to open the register options, where you can change or cancel the schedule.

Move a register between Active and Collapsed

Section titled “Move a register between Active and Collapsed”

You arrange the Active area by dragging registers. Each register has a drag handle in its top right corner, next to the gear icon. Grab the handle to move the register.

  • Pin a register: drag a register from the Collapsed list onto an Active slot. If the slot is empty, the register fills it. If the slot already holds a register, the two swap places.
  • Rearrange Active registers: drag a register from one Active slot to another to change the order.
  • Unpin a register: drag a register from an Active slot back down to the Collapsed list.

Your arrangement is saved, so the dashboard looks the same the next time you open it.

From the dashboard you can open any register to view its day-by-day schedule, add or change classes, and manage the students inside it. See Reading the register board.

Each card also has a gear icon in its top right corner. Select it to open the register options, such as editing or archiving the register.
