Locations

A location is a venue where your registers run, such as a leisure centre. Every register has one location. A location also lists the sports taught there.

View locations

Select Module Settings, then Locations.

Column	What it shows
Name	The venue name. Select it to sort the list.
Venue Address	The address.
Venue Phone	The phone number, or Unavailable when there is none.
Venue Email	The email address.
Registers	How many registers use this location.
Sports	The sports taught at the location.
Created on	The date the location was added.
Action	An Edit link.

Type in Search Location to find a location by name.

You cannot delete a location.

Add a location

Before you start: the sports taught at the venue must already exist. See Sports.

Select Add Location.

Fill in the form:

Trial Offer Attachments	No	PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 3MB each. Up to 3 files in total.

Select Submit.

Result: Swimio shows Location created successfully and returns to the list.

You can also add a location while you set up a register, from the register form. See Set up a register.

Trial offer attachments

Swimio attaches these files to the emails account holders get about a trial offer at this location: when the offer is sent, when it is accepted, and when the trial date changes. Use them for things families need before a trial, such as a venue map or what to bring.

Edit a location

Select Edit on the location’s row.
Change the fields you need.
- A new photo or attachment is added to the ones already saved. The totals still count the saved files: 8 photos and 3 attachments at most.
- To remove a saved file, select the delete icon on it.
Select Submit.

Result: Swimio shows Location updated successfully and returns to the list.

Common problems

Problem	Why it happens	What to do
You can upload a maximum of 8 photos in total.	The saved photos and the new ones add up to more than 8.	Remove a saved photo first, or choose fewer.
You can upload a maximum of 3 Trial Offer attachments in total.	The saved attachments and the new ones add up to more than 3.	Remove a saved attachment first, or choose fewer.
Maximum allowed file size is 500KB	A photo is larger than 500KB.	Make the picture smaller, then choose it again.
A sport is missing from Sports	The sport has not been added yet.	Add it under Sports.
