Download a register

You can download the classes shown on a register’s daily view as a spreadsheet file. This gives you a printable copy of one day’s classes, with the students in each class.

What you need before starting

Open the register you want to download. See Reading the register board.
Go to the day you want to download. The download only covers the day you are currently viewing.

Download the register

Open the register on its daily view and go to the day you want.
Select the download button next to the filter button, above the day strip.

Result: Swimio opens a new tab and downloads a spreadsheet file named after the date, for example register-2026-08-01.xlsx.

What the download contains

The spreadsheet lists the classes running on the day you downloaded, grouped by start time. For each class it shows:

The instructor and the class’s average ability.
A row for each student in the class, with their student ID, name, level, age, and status.
A reserved seat shows as Reserved, with the reason it was reserved, instead of a student.
Class notes, if you chose to include them (see below).

Filters used in the download

The download uses two settings from the filter options on the daily view:

Show only classes with vacancies: when on, the download only includes classes that still have empty seats.
Show class notes: when on, the download adds a notes section under each class.

Open the filter button next to the download button to change these before you download. If either setting is different from its default, the spreadsheet notes which filters were applied at the top of the page.

The Show vacant seats filter only changes what you see on screen. It does not change what is included in the download.
